Monday: Where In The World Is David

Good Afternoon Everybody, And welcome to late post Monday. Why the late post, you may be asking? It seems we had a little wind blow through the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area yesterday - remnants of Hurricane Ike and up to 75 mph. Up to 75% of the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area was without power - the city's biggest black-out of all times! As of 8 a.m. this morning, over 600,000 people - 1/3 of the metro area - are still without power!

My Master Class starts today and the hotel we were scheduled to have the class is still without power. The power company is talking about up to 5 days for some residents to have power restored! Needless to say, it's kind of a mess around here. The state of Kentucky has declared a state of emergency so it's pretty serious.

The good news is that everyone made it in for class and my good friends at the Netherland Hilton hotel - they have power in downtown Cincy - have graciously offered one of their conference rooms to us today so we could continue with the class. High Fives! to the Netherland Hilton

We just broke for lunch and I thought I would give you a quick update on the situation. We should be back to almost normal tomorrow here at DigitalProTalk.com. You may even see a post or two later tonight. Anyway, stay tuned.

The one thought that stands out in my mind about all our problems around here is how much worse it is was for Houston and Galveston and so many other places affected by Ike. Our problem are so small by comparison. My heart and soul goes out more so to them as they deal with so much more tragedy than our inconvenience here in the Midwest.

Anyway gang, lets keep all those suffering through this massive storm in our hearts and prayers.
See everybody, maybe later today, and tomorrow for sure. -David
