"Afterglow"
© David A. Ziser

The sunsets are beautiful in Manzanillo, Mexico. From our veranda, we see one every night. Too many people think the show is over after the sun dips below the horizon. As a "sunset" watcher for many years, I know the rest of the show can be just as spectacular and sometimes much more subtle as we see in this image. It was taken well past the official sunset, but the afterglow played beautifully on the hills and surrounding areas of the image. Camera specs; Nikon D300 fitted with 18-200mm lens at 170mm, F14 @ 1/800 second, ISO 500. Enjoy! --David

  1. Nice! I love the warm glow separating the ridges.

By the way, they're calling for 12 to 15 inches of the white stuff in Cincy on Saturday. Welcome home!
