An Speaking of Gift Giving

I found this great story over at PhotoSwitch - "7 Innovative Ways to Thank Your Client During the Holidays". You know, it's just good "down to earth" PR. Their tips are fun, funny and useful when it comes down to those guerrilla marketing tactic we talked about this past Technique Tuesday.

Here was my favorite - buy a sheep. One of the suggestions was making a donation on your client's behalf to do something good for the world - wait, hear me out on this - there's a beautiful idea here. It seems Oxfam America, an international relief and development organization, has a website set up where you can make a donation on anyone's behalf and have that donation leverage some very good results around the world. The gift items symbolically represent the work of Oxfam America in 26 countries.

Your recipient gets a personalized card -- and your donation helps people living in poverty throughout the world. Here is the Oxfam America gift link right here. Worried about someone pocketing the donation - OxFam America is one of the 4-Star charities listed over at CharityNavigator which monitors charities everywhere. You can check it out yourself right here.

Hey gang, that's about it for the day - have a great weekend and I'll see you next week. --David
